Terms of service

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to purchases made from Rhianne Woods Wigs through our website and should be read alongside our Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy and Wig Quality, Faults & Repairs Policy.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms. Nothing within these terms affects your statutory rights.

1. Our Products

Our wigs are made using human hair and many are individually made, customised or prepared to the specifications selected when ordering.

Due to the nature of human hair, slight variations in colour, texture, density, length and appearance can occur between units. Images are intended to represent our products as accurately as possible, although colours may also appear differently depending on lighting and screen settings.

Where a wig is hand-finished, coloured or customised, minor variations are a normal part of the finished product and do not necessarily constitute a fault.

2. Orders

It is the customer's responsibility to check all order details and selected specifications carefully before completing a purchase, including cap size, length, density, colour, cap construction and any additional options selected.

After an order has been placed, changes may not always be possible, particularly where production or customisation has already begun.

We reserve the right to contact you if further information is required before we can process your order.

An order may be cancelled by us where we are unable to fulfil it, where there has been an obvious pricing or listing error, or where payment cannot be successfully processed. Where we cancel an order that has already been paid for, the appropriate refund will be issued.

3. Pricing & Payment

Prices shown on our website are the prices payable at the time of ordering unless an obvious pricing error has occurred.

Available payment methods will be displayed at checkout.

Orders will not enter production or be dispatched until the required payment has been received.

4. Pre-Orders & Customised Wigs

Many of our wigs are available on a pre-order basis and are made or ordered specifically following your purchase.

Estimated production and delivery times shown on our website are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates. We will communicate with you if we become aware of a significant delay.

Some wigs may also be customised, coloured, cut or otherwise altered specifically for the customer.

Cancellation and return rights can differ for goods made to a customer's specification or clearly personalised. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

5. Colour & Customisation

Custom colouring and other chemical services alter human hair and may affect its condition and longevity.

Colour results may vary slightly depending on the starting hair, previous processing and the nature of human hair.

Where a customer requests a particular colour or customisation, we will use reasonable care and skill to achieve the agreed result.

6. Bleached Knots

Where available, customers may be offered the choice of bleached or unbleached knots.

Bleaching knots can create a more natural appearance at the lace but involves chemical processing of the knots. This can make them more delicate than unbleached knots.

Customers whose priority is maximum durability may wish to choose unbleached knots where available.

Further information regarding shedding, lace and product assessment can be found in our Wig Quality, Faults & Repairs Policy.

7. Care & Use

Human-hair wigs require appropriate care and maintenance.

The lifespan and condition of a wig can be affected by frequency of wear, washing, styling, heat, products, friction, adhesives, solvents, chemical treatments and the way the wig is handled and stored.

Customers should follow the care guidance supplied by Rhianne Woods Wigs.

Normal wear and tear or damage resulting from misuse, accidental damage, inappropriate care or unauthorised third-party alterations is not considered a manufacturing fault.

This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods.

8. Faults, Shedding & Repairs

Some shedding is normal with human-hair wigs. Significant or unusual shedding will be assessed individually.

Where you believe your wig may have developed a fault, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and allow us the opportunity to assess the unit.

We may request photographs, videos, information regarding wear and maintenance and, where necessary, return of the wig for physical assessment.

Following assessment, the appropriate resolution will depend on the nature of the issue and may include repair, replacement or another remedy where applicable.

Please refer to our Wig Quality, Faults & Repairs Policy for further information.

9. Third-Party Alterations

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by work carried out after purchase by another person or business, including colouring, bleaching, cutting, chemical processing, alterations or repairs.

Where a potential product fault is being investigated, please contact us before arranging third-party repair or alteration, as this may make it difficult or impossible to determine the original cause of the issue.

This does not affect your statutory rights where an issue is unrelated to the third-party work.

10. Delivery

Delivery options, costs and estimated timescales are provided during the ordering process and/or within our Shipping Policy.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further information regarding dispatch, international orders and delivery.

11. Returns & Cancellations

Your cancellation and return rights depend on the type of product purchased and whether the item has been made or customised specifically for you.

Full conditions and instructions are contained within our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Nothing in our policies limits your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

12. Website Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product information, prices, photographs and availability shown on our website are accurate.

Occasionally, errors may occur. Where we identify a significant error affecting an order, we will contact the customer as soon as reasonably possible to agree how to proceed.

13. Our Responsibility

Nothing within these Terms seeks to exclude or restrict liability where doing so would be unlawful.

We are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from misuse of a product, failure to follow appropriate care instructions, accidental damage or alterations carried out by third parties where that loss or damage was not caused by a fault with the product supplied by us.

14. Your Statutory Rights

These Terms of Service and our individual store policies are intended to explain how we operate and do not replace or restrict rights provided to consumers under applicable UK consumer law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, website or applicable requirements.

The terms applicable to your purchase will be those in effect when your order is placed.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom. Nothing in this section affects any mandatory consumer protections or rights you may have regarding where legal proceedings may be brought.

17. Contact
